CP Historical Society 2012 theme to focus on trains
The Center Point Historical Society theme for 2012 is called “All Aboard” and features trains and railroading. New train exhibits will be added to the Waterloo, Cedar Falls & Northern Railroad displays already permanently shown at the Museum.
The Museum season opens Sunday, May 6, with a program at 2 p.
Prom April 28: Public can view decorations Friday evening
The Vinton Skate & Activity Center is once again the site for the annual V/S Prom on Saturday, April 28th. Director of Prom, Sandy Lyons is pleased to announce that all of the hard work the Juniors and parents have done to decorate the facility is done and they would love to share this with all of you with a public viewing on Friday, April 27th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.

NCCC Fire Team Creates New Life

Maple 5 arrived in Wapello, Iowa on March 19 with anticipation and a burning desire to put all their training into action with the Louisa County Conservation Board, the Iowa DNR and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
As the project comes to a close this Friday, the 11-member team is looking at the variety of work accomplished ranging from prescribed burns, trail maintenance and environmental education field trips and lessons.
